Episode One: LIVIN, 7 Years On

Casey Lyons and Luke Foster reflect on the passing of Dwayne Lally in 2013 to suicide, how Dwayne’s death ignited a passion for Casey and LIVIN’s other Co-Founder, Sam Webb, to DO SOMETHING in the mental health space and what LIVIN has achieved over the past 7 years.
The episode provides you with great insights into the character Dwayne was and still is in the hearts and minds of so many; how far LIVIN has come over the course of 7 years and how the organisation has grown professionally and what it has achieved.
The podcast is very real, and at times confronting, but important conversations are had to attempt to break the stigma surrounding mental health. But lastly, in true LIVIN style, the podcast has a good ol’ story or two that will bring a smile to your face and possibly a belly laugh or two. Whilst the episode went longer than expected, the mateship between Casey and Luke is something special to listen to. So, what are you waiting for? Hear these LIVIN Legends Loud in Ep 1!

LIVIN UNPLUGGED

The LIVIN Unplugged podcast features conversations with people closely connected to LIVIN. All these people have unique perspectives on life; most have inspiring stories to tell or stories of heartache and overcoming adversity - but of significance - ALL have a passion for LIVIN and the great work LIVIN is doing to break the stigma surrounding mental health and to work toward the shared goal of helping to prevent people from dying too young. Everyone you hear on LIVIN Unplugged is a LIVIN Legend. The organisation would not exist without our LIVIN Legends, so we thought why not make our LIVIN Legends Loud! We thought it would be a wonderful idea for you to hear from these amazing people.

At LIVIN, we believe we’ve got the balance fairly right – there’s a time and place to talk seriously and highly professionally about mental health, mental ill health and suicide, a time and place for tears and hugs, but there’s also a time and place to crack a joke, smile and laugh! Our intention for each episode is to be raw, open and authentic
