My Story - Lauren

This has been a long time coming. It's not easy when you want to talk about your mental illness and share your experience in the hope that someone somewhere will feel a little less alone but it's your mental illness that prevents you from doing that. I am a big advocate for taking active steps to look after your own mental health and that of others and have been an ear to listen to the experiences of my friends, family or clients without ever really talking about why I know exactly what it’s like. My Story - Kieron Douglass

What you are about to read has been by far the hardest thing I have ever had to write. When I get to school I look at every person and see if they have the same feelings that I do, but I can’t see what they are thinking. At school I wish I was a ‘normal person’...

My Story - Jo

R U Ok Day has been at the forefront this week, and my news feed has been filled with posts from Beyond Blue, so either the timing is coincidental or law of attraction has delivered again.  Mental Health and the need to raise more awareness and support is a current critical discussion.  To educate our youth, our men, our women and our community about the importance of strong mental health, and what to do when it doesn’t feel so good, is a conversation I’m thankful is happening. I will be the first to admit that I have felt a little detached...
